Vancouver Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016 Designer Lineup
Beginning on September 28, 2015, the fashion industry’s fastest growing event, Vancouver Fashion Week (“VFW”) will host its semi-annual week-long celebration of design, art, creativity, and fashion. The event will open with a gala on September 28, 2015 at 7pm. Shows begin on September 29, 2015 at 4:30pm.
The spring/summer 2016 season will host more than 70 emerging and established fashion designers from around the world who will display their collections to more than 30,000 attendees including: notable fashion insiders, tastemakers, industry leaders, media professionals, buyers, celebrities, and socialites.
Some of the spring/summer 2016 season’s designers include:
Liann Bellis – Founded in 2010 in New Zealand, the Liann Bellis label is designed for today’s smart and confident women. Featuring clean silhouettes and sleek lines, the Liann Bellis brand incorporates a bold edge into each piece.
Ameri –Established in 2014, Ameri is a Japanese label run by emerging fashion designer and iconic social media star, Naoko Kuroishi. Fun and feminine, the Ameri brand is the perfect wardrobe for any professional woman.
Elena Bobysheva – Launched just two years ago in Chicago, the Elena Bobysheva collection has grown to be a favorite among women today. With structured and sleek tailoring, sexy and fitted skirts and dresses, and flattering tops, the label was found on the principles of sustainability and animal welfare.
Eliza Faulkner – With clean lines, flirty silhouettes, and a playful aesthetic, Eliza Faulkner was named “One of the Top Ten Canadian Designers to Know” by ELLE Canada. From a small town outside of Vancouver, the designer has also become a favorite among celebrities such as Marisa Tomei, Nikki Reid, and Kelly Clarkson.
Lea Freni– Based in New York City, the VOGEL line by Lea Freni was launched by Cornell University graduate, Lea Freni in 2014. Known for her geometric silhouettes, Freni incorporates mathematical intricacy and coded imagery into every piece in her spring/summer 2016 collection.
Allison Wonderland: Located in Vancouver, designer Allison Smith designs clothing for today’s everyday woman. Whether a day at the office, running errands on the weekend, or a Saturday night out on the town, the Allison Wonderland collection offers something for every lifestyle. Her designs have been featured in ELLE Canada, Loulou Magazine, Newsweek, among many others.
Grandi’s Atelier: Known for her feminine, flirty, and timeless, designs, Grandy draws inspiration from sentiments of bygone eras. She combines classic cuts with modern textures and simple colors. Her designs have been featured in Glamour UK and Vogue UK.
