The Collecte is the creation of two fashion mavens, Stephanie Erbilgin and Maria DeLisi-Minichiello. They created the destination shopping site for both designers and shoppers. Erbilgin and DeLisi-Minichiello realized designing gorgeous clothes was great, but to bring the collections to market took business savvy. They decided to marry the two and The Collecte was born. Now, the site is headed by cofounder Erbilgin, while cofounder DeLisi-Minichiello serves as an adviser.
