Being a summer born baby, I love the beach, BBQs and all the outdoor activities the season has to offer. But, as much as I love summer time, the sometimes unbearable temperatures, and humidity totally alters my basic beauty regiment. As I easily sweat, this doesn’t stop my skin from soaking up moisture and hair being dry from being exposed to the sun. My lips require more care and frequently exposed feet need constant TLC.
I have an arsenal of beauty “go-tos” that I absolutely need to beat the heat and the dog days of summer:
- The Hair: I need hydration, and need to control the frizz from the humidity but also don’t want my hair to be greasy and weighted down. For my regular wash and condition, I love TRESemme Split Remedy Split Ends shampoo and conditioner. And to fight the frizzies from humid weather, Phyto 48-hour anti-frizz mask can be used after shampoo or even daily.
- The Face: Oily – sweaty – oily – sweaty – oily….that is the typical summer day cycle for me when it comes to my face. To exfoliate, I use Burt’s bees sugar scrub with Honey & Shea to get my legs and arms silky smooth.
