The little diva is here! During the evening n Saturday, January 7th, 2012 Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z welcomed their baby girl into the world via a scheduled c-section in New York City. The NY Daily News reports:
“A very pregnant Beyoncé had checked into the upper East Side hospital on Friday night under the name “Ingrid Jackson,” a hospital staffer told the Daily News. Beyoncé and her hip-hop hubby, whose real name is Shawn Carter, rented out the hospital’s entire fourth floor for $1.3 million, the employee said.”
Wow, paying for protection has a hefty price tag! There were so many security measures in place, hospital employees had to hand in their cell-phones just to enter the wing of the hospital, and a few doctors were annoyed by the fan fare, complaining they couldn’t get to their other patients.
The baby’s name was in question among the press and blogs during the wee hours of the morning last night. From the rumor mill, various monikers for the royal bambina included: Brook Lynn Carter, Ivy Blue Carter, and finally, her actual name is Blue Ivy Carter. Thanks to Auntie Gwyneth who set everyone straight about Baby Blue’s name on twitter. It should be no surprise that Ivy Blue Carter is currently a trending topic on twitter, and folks are already butchering this poor little girl’s name lol! 😉
Now let’s pontificate a moment on what will be little Blue’s first baby outfit on the way home from the hospital? Or what will she wear for her first photo shoot with the King and Queen of “hip-pop”? A sequins onesie with matching baby blanket? Will momma bey only dress her in blue sequins and not pink sequins because of her name?
Soooo many questions, inquiring minds want to know!
