Having the background of a professional marketer, I am constantly seeking new and innovative ways that brands can engage consumers and key influencers. So the marketing geek in me was totally gassed to participate in Take on Ted – “The world’s first remote-controlled, digitally powered live styling project”, which is a part of Ted Baker London’s U.S. launch celebration.

The Challenge:

Select various items from the Ted Baker London Men and Women’s A/W10 collections, and develop unique looks for one male and one female model styled to the following creative brief:
Styling Brief: ICE SKATING AT SOMERSET HOUSE
Forget Christmas shopping – although it’s nearly Christmas… you’re going ice skating at London’s Somerset house. You’ll be drinking mulled wine and trying to keep snug so dress up warm. Look your best and (literally) hit the ice in style. This will be a outer/knit wear shoot with a selection of props and backdrops to choose from.

Take on Ted Baker London

Using twitter/DM/skype, I will take the reigns of the studio during the photo shoot. This includes giving direction to the models, stylists, hair and make-up artists, and the photographer.

The Cool Part:
On completion of each shoot, Ted will showcase the professionally shot looks and making-of videos on tedbaker.com, Facebook, on fashion blogs, and across its US stores, and one lucky STYLEMOM.com reader will walk away with a fashionable prize from the shoot!!

If you’re on twitter make sure you follow @Ted_Baker and @STYLEMOM, and be sure to watch live at 2pm EST Friday Nov. 5th, for a chance to win fabulous prizes from Ted Baker at www.stylemom.com/takeonted
