If you’ve seen Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smothsonian, you’re probably as smitten as I was with Amy Adams’ role as Amelia Earheart. From her wonderful curly hair, to her spunky “take on the world” attitude and relentless drive, she represented the “can-do” woman in all of us. As we approach Women’s History Month, Earheart was a fitting muse for designer Tia Cabani and the Ports 1961 Fall 2010 collection.

The color palette was rich with warm and earthy tones of caramel, mocha, sage, rust, ginger and spice and everything nice. Complimenting the delicious hues was a range of textures from knits, silks, satins, lame (p. la-may), to velvet.
