Fall Fringe Look featuring Seven For All Mankind jeans
Fur, leather and bling:
The night before the inaugural Fashion’s Night Out, I had a chance to check out the RACHEL Rachel Roy collection at the Pop-Up Store in Soho. An eclectic mix of glam, classic, fun, and funky, there were tons of great pieces to add to your fall wardrobe:
2 of my favorite pieces: The Limited edition silver wrap front jumpsuit ($129)& a “the dress for all women” the scoop neck folded front black dress ($89) Whether you’re tall, short, curvy, pear, or diamond shape , every single last person that tried on this dress loved it and so did I.
I tried on the jumpsuit and it was unbelievably comfortable and so chic! My fellow fashionista, Kristin Booker of Fashion.Style.Beauty, tried on the scoop neck dress so we had to strike a pose of course!

Guacamole dreams, margarita mojo, and miles of style permeated the showroom at the Jones New York 2009 Fall/Holiday Preview. Our most charming host was style expert, Lloyd Boston – the man with the million dollar smile and host of Fine Living Network’s Closet Cases. I had such a fantabulous time, that I now proclaim Lloyd as one of my new BFFs (Best Friend in Fashion as FLN puts it
).

It was exciting to learn that Lloyd was also an evangelist for the “moms don’t give up on style” movement. Check out Lloyd as he gives the 411 on how busy moms don’t have to sacrifice great style, in this “Mommalicious Makeover” of his own beautiful mother:

During our fashion chat, Lloyd brought up a key point: we as women don’t really run out of clothes, we run out of ideas and creativity. This made me think, if it wasn’t for the economic recession and the ever growing green-movement, would women just be creatively complacent when it came to fashion and style? Would trends like vintage shopping, DIY/handmade fashion, and “shopping your closet” be as popular? Definitely some fashion food for thought.
With countless conversations of chic, and an abundance of stylish inspirations, the JNY Fall/Winter09 collection included beautiful cashmeres, classic jackets, and punches of brilliant color.

Some of my favorite fashionistas were in the house: Kristin Booker of Fashion.Style.Beauty, Sarah Conley of StyleIT, Felicia Sullivan, along with Nichelle Gainer of 55 Secret Street. Check out 55 Secret Street’s interview with Lloyd Boston at the JNY event.
Finally, be sure to watch JNY’s Style Miles Ep.6, as Lloyd demonstrates how to make 25 looks from using 5 items in your closet (click logo):
