What can we say? Surprised? Absolutely not! She took over as the latest judge on the mega music show American Idol, she’s just killing it in the fragrance game, her and her twin boys were the faces for Gucci ads, she launched a clothing line at Kohl’s, and shakes a tail feather upping the ‘cool factor’ for Fiat, all while weathering a divorce virtually unscathed to the public eye. Yes indeed, Jennifer Lopez is Glamour Magazine’s 2011 Woman of the Year.
On Glamour’s December cover (hits news stands November 8th) J-Lo wears a sexy bustier by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, and is swimming in luxe jewels including: an edgy but glam Salvatore Ferragamo Swarovski crystal anchor necklace, a Michael Kors gold necklace, Verdura gold bracelet, two Chanel gold, black onyx, and diamond bracelets, a Lorraine Schwartz white gold diamond bracelet, a Verdura gold, platinum, and diamond wide link bracelet and a Pomellato rose gold diamond bracelet. Now that is some heavy duty hardware!
J.Lo appears inside the issue in a Salvatore Ferragamo bandeau top, paired with a Chris Benz skirt and Enza Costa tank.
Here is a sneak peak of J-Lo’s interview with Glamour:
…on her style
“The things I liked when I was, like, 16 and in the Bronx—jeans, cut-up T-shirts—I still like. But I’ve been exposed to so much now from traveling the world and seeing couture clothes. I used all of that when I created my new line for Kohl’s. My style has come from everything, from where I started to where I am today.”
…on what she’s learned about love and relationships
“I think I’ve finally learned the biggest lesson of all. You’ve got to love yourself first. You’ve got to be OK on your own before you can be OK with somebody else. You’ve got to value yourself and know that you’re wortheverything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can’t really have a healthy relationship.”
